A good friend of mine had an idea for a character based on the mean, aggressive and greedy seagulls from the town where he grew up.
For those outside of Australia, we call french fries/fried potato “chips”. One of our favorite fast foods are “fish and chips”. It turns out its a favorite food of seagulls as well.
Introducing “The Chippy King”. He’s the boss of the seagulls who dons a grease-paper hat and collects can tabs to add to his necklace.
I drew and coloured a quick reference in Krita before modeling and texture painting it in Blender. You can view it in 3d on Sketchfab
The model is low poly, and the wings are only painted on. I wasn’t considering doing any animations or using it in games when I made it, but now I kind of wish I had modeled it all.
